Outlook 97
1. Start Outlook 97
2. On the Tools menu, click Services.
3. Click on the Services tab.
4. You should see Internet Mail as one of the
services listed. If it is not, click the Add button, highlight Internet
Mail, and click OK.
5. Highlight Internet Mail and click
on the Properties button.
6. In the Internet Mail window,
click on the General tab and fill in your information:
- Full Name: Your Name (Example: John Doe)
- Email Address: Your email address
(Example: johndoe@aspi.net)
- Internet Mail Server: mail.aspi.net
- Account Name: The first part of your
email address WITHOUT the @aspi.net (Example: jdoe)
- Password: your password
7. You are done, click Apply and
click OK.
Outlook 98
To configure Outlook 98
1. Start Outlook 98.
2. On the Tools menu click
Accounts. The Internet Accounts window will open.
3. Click the Mail tab.
4. Click the Add button. A menu will
pop up, choose Mail.
5. The Internet Connection Wizard will
start. Enter the following information:
- Enter your name (Example: John Doe),
click Next
- Enter your email address (Example:
johndoe@aspi.net), click Next.
- Your Incoming Mail Server is a POP3
Server
- Enter mail.aspi.net as the Incoming
(POP3) Server
- Enter mail.aspi.net as the Outgoing
(SMTP) Server
6. Click the radio button Logon Using
and enter the the following information:
- POP account name: The first part of your
email address WITHOUT the @aspi.net (Example: jdoe)
- Password: your password, Click Next
7. The Friendly Name window will
open, Enter your email address again (Example: johndoe@aspi.net), click
Next.
8. The Choose Connection Type window
will open. click the Connect using my phone line radio button.
9. You are done, click Finish.
